This story has Fear, Death, Misogyny, Rape, Sexual Harassment, Sexual Abuse amongst others depicted in it. It only gets scarier.
This is only the beginning.
This story is about five young promising Nigerian girls Eseosa, Mariam, Ajifa, Chinny, and Ashley, their childhood, youthful age and adulthood. It all started when they were born.
The best way to be a Woman in Nigeria is to never be born.
The story begins with these five girls, on a Thursday night slumber party which led them going to the club at mid-night. During the slumber party, they were smoking, drinking, dancing and asking questions until the questions became to deep and personal. They all shared parts of their lives where they were molested, sexually abused and harassed my either someone close to them or someone they didn’t know. They decided to cheer themselves by going to the club to dance it off to really loud music since Eseosa’s neighbor had complained about the loud music that was playing from their room and how he needed to sleep to get to his shitty job the next day.
Off to the club they went.
Dancing, twerking, touching, whining, rocking
Now, Chinny had to go pee, she told one of the girls and then was escorted by the man she was dancing with. 30minutes later, Chinny wasn’t back. Ajifa and Eseosa decided to go check her in the restroom to know if she had passed out on the toilet floor since it won’t be her first time. What they saw was Chinny’s purse with it’s content scattered on the floor. They both looked at each other with terror in their eyes and ran back to the dance floor to inform the other girls. They were all tipsy so it was hard to coordinate themselves.
