This is my review of the book someday maybe by Onyi Nwabineli. This is my second book my this authur and I will remember her name so that before I pick up any book by her, I'd think twice.
The book was a bit slow, I believe it didn't end how I would have loved it to end, like there was a subtle cliffhanger.
The story started when a woman "", sorry, I'm very bad with remebering the names of characters in books I read. But she's the protagonist, she walked in on the lifeless body of her husband in a pool of his own blood. He had commited suicide.
The writers drags us slowly through how the protagonistv was able to deal with grief, how it changed her life. How questions she had would never get answered, how she had to live with getting closure. Without really finding out why her dearest husband decided to put an end to his own life. I just felt like the story was dragged slowly, I started this book earlier in the year but only got to finishing it in June because there was a lot of dragging, details that were almost repeated. The book needed less chapters than it had honestly.
